I'm not a big gamer (Football Manager, Civ 5/BE, F1, GRID, Fallout 3/NV and the likes) but my current card is getting a bit long in the tooth. As I doubt I will ever push a top notch card to the limits, would something like this ( https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-149-GI&tool=3 ) be a bit of an overkill? If I could get the price nearer the £200 mark I would be much happier, but similarly I don't want to have to upgrade for a while - the last card I got was at the full rig build stage in March 2009, and even then it was only a BFG GeForce GTX 260 @ £170.

For the immediate future, I would like to comfortably run F1 2015 and Fallout 4 when it comes, but I have a deep seated mis-trust of any recommended spec that games producers give, so I'm hoping to draw on the experiences here.

I've got a 1080 screen but I am not looking to have ALL settings able to be fully maxed out for the newer games.

Thanks in advance.
