fuze sound quality?

whats the fuze sound quality like?? some sites suggest its not that great but others say it is.
unfortunately the clip is too small memory for me but a fuze+sd would be good.
i'm still using a rio carbon at the moment.

any opinions? (not ipod obviously)

Well I will have one tomorrow or the next day depending on how slow shipping is....so I will post up to let you know my impressions.

I will be using Soundmagic PL-30 earbuds along with the Fuze.

Over at head-fi, they seem to this that the Fuze has exactly the same sound quality as the clip. So best in class then.

Sounds great (better than iPod) but not quite as good as the sony range. Sansa's eq is not very good as it distorts. Sony eq best in class.

Well I got my Fuze today. The sound quality really is quite good...the imaging is surprisingly good coming from earbuds and the bass is well defined and punchy, but quite balanced...I love it!

I always use the flat EQ as I hate messing with the music, I want it to sound as close to how it was recorded as possible.

I got mine through the post the other day but due to ongoing system problems I haven't had a chance to transfer any music on to it to try.

Finally got my system sorted this morning so I will start ripping some CD's over.
