Fuzzy lines on TV

A few weeks after installing windows 7 with a new EVGA 460 GPU i noticed a horizontal fuzzy line pop up for less than a second on the TV; it can occur a few times in one day or just once or twice a week.

I have stress tested the GPU and it seems fine; including AVP etc benchmarks. I have the latest drivers and i am connecting the TV via HDMI mini to HDMI on the TV. I have tried a different cable too as well as HDMI to DVI

Toshiba support say the issue lies with my PC settings; but i have correctly set the refresh rates and resolution to optimal; 1920/1080 with 50hz. The issue occurs when on different ones; as well as when on dual view or as a single display at lower res.

I was told that a setting to do with 1;1 pixel mapping/ratio could be the issue; where is this setting in the nvida control panel?

What should i do next? Thanks

1:1 pixel mapping tends to be in the TV settings. Have you tried another PC? Is the TV fine under normal use? Another monitor?

1;1 pexel is the same as the "exact scan" option? If so i have tried this. Also different TV setting like PC user, dynamic user etc

Also i tried DVI to HDMI, I reformatted windows and still get it

My dell monitor seems fine

Are you able to try another HDMI source on your TV or try your PC on another TV just to and eliminate exactly where the issue lies?

I tried the TV on a different PC and it was fine; i also used this TV with my old 8800GT without this issue when i used to have XP

1) Is there any software conflicts i should look out for; certain drivers / programs etc.

2) What software should i use to automatically check to see i have the least driver etc for my hardware?

3)I may have to return the card; do people think a different branded 460 would be okay or is there a big risk of the same issue occuring? If not is the geforce 450 different enough to help prevent the same issue? Thanks

Shouldn't it be at 60hz?.
My tv screws up when it is set to 50hz.
try older drivers?.

I am sure when drivers are set to 50hz on my tv it plays up

Get this on my GTX260-216 connected to a 40" Samsung HDTV via DVI to HDMI cable. Its either the following:

1: Nvidia driver bug.

2: Refresh rate should be set to 60 not 50 BTW.

3: HDCP handshake issue between the PC/HDTV.

I found an easy way around this which is turn the HDTV on always AFTER the PC that way it seems to handshake everytime.

I tired these with no affect. If i get a replacment card what about the Asus GeForce GTX 460 1024MB; i need one that is at least as quite and at least as powerful/functional as the EVGA 460 768?

Does any one if this will be fine with a Toshiba Regza TV / compatibility / any issues etc Thanks
