Fuzzy Monitor-Help?

So i have just connected my netbook to my TV (22'' LCD) and its working fine but to me it looks quite fuzzy? Ive tried all different resolutions but still no luck....anyone got any tips for programs or something i can do to make it sharper or should i just go back to my old monitor?

How is it connected, VGA, HDMI, S-Video?

What make is it?

Because I know sometimes you have to select a res at the monitor, I know my dads LG is weird in that way

It is connected via VGA as my netbook hasnt got any other connections.....and the make is just a cheap unbranded one.....i tried looking but there is no settings for resolution.
