Hi

Built a new pc about 2 months ago and had everything running nicely - turn on pc this morning and as it booted up the screen just went fuzzy - is the graphics card dead?

Using a HIS Radeon HD 3870 X2 with an ASUS P5K Premium mobo

Thanks for any help

hi

thanks for help - i've tried reseating the card / checked cables / but with no success. My big problem is that I cant even go into the BIOS because as soon as I boot the screen is just fuzzy - basically the picture you get if you were to pull out the aerial on a tv.

I'll try the component connection once I've found my extension lead- the one from provided from HIS is about 4 inches long!

cheers

MMm

just attached my wifes macbook and again no signal although i'm not sure if i would get one as we've never attached to an external monitor.

However - the playstation produces a picture no problem - does this therefor mean that the graphics card is broken! RMA?

cheers
