Fuzzy text in google chrome

Never had this in XP, but with W7, Google chrome text is dull and fuzzy whereas IE8 is fine, nice and sharp. I've messed around with cleartype and custom DPI and cannot sort it out. Anyone know to fix it?

My screen res is 1360 x 1024 with font size 150%.

edit: Hmm, problem seems to be with % of text size. Better on medium.

Guys, I've sorted the fuzziness but I need to get google chrome font the same size as IE8. In IE8 I use the zoom level, but in chrome the zoom is limited and only temporary, so the higher the resolution I go, the larger I need the font to be able to increase to. But the Fixed-width Font option in chrome, although physically changeable, doesn't keep new settings, just defaults back to courier new, 13.
Is there any way around the Fixed-width Font?
