Am I getting ripped off for paying £170 for an FW900 in very good condition? I've yet to confirm the sale, so I'm interested to hear what people think.
I am still using a similar (but if anything not quite as good) CRT from Mitsubishi on one of my systems and the image it produces is the envy of anything else at that price. It won't be perfect I will tell you that now and there are some ways in which LCDs are superior even at that price - but contrast, colours and viewing angles aren't amongst them. Plus you will get really good resolutions and pretty decent refresh rates.
) But with the FW900, it looks like I'd get the best of both worlds. As I'm selling my current TN monitor for around the same price I'm getting the Sony for, it seems like a fair swap.I didn't even consider the size of the thing. The width is fine, but the depth is over half a metre! I'll need a new desk for sure.

Hugely strengthened desk though.
