Got this little cpu running on a budget system for my kid and so far so good, I overclocked it straight to 4.2 with little effort, so I load up OCCT and cpu-z and asus probe to give as many readings as possible, vcore sits at 1.39/1.41 and temps are around 45 so far so good, but here is the problem it appears to throttle for a split sec or two to 3.3 or 16.5multiplier and it does this on stock as well 3.6 to 3.3 which is mental and the vcore drops to 1.31 while this happens but all stability test complete and say all is well.
I have disabled any power saving in bios etc that I can see and run on high performance in windows and the motherboard is the Asus M5A78L-M-USB3 which is a budget board but I have overclocked on budget boards before no probs all Intels tho
I dont believe its the overclock due to the fact it does it on stock as well.
Anyone with ideas to help
