FX-55 overclock!

Hi all, i've had an fx-55 for about 2 years now, and you'd be horrified to know that ive never overclocked it!

Because i dont know how. And im a chicken.

Can anyone tell me a really quick way to get a little extra speed out of it?

Quickest way is to increase the CPU multiplier by 1. Be ready to clear the CMOS though just in case it locks up.

Tried mine on 14x multiplier - wouldn't boot up. (FX-55 Clawhammer), tried 13.5x last night, and did boot up but pc restarted as soon as i started a 3d mark test.

Back to 13x now, and 2.6

- this cpu must just be "to-Hot" for my system, as the FX-55 is on the stock cooler

Yeah i just thought, my cooling isn't exactly powerful, ive got the zalman reserator 1.

Ive just look at their new cpu water block, would i get a little extra cooling performance if i were to buy it?
