FX 57 showing as a FX 25

Guys

I sold a FX 57 on the bay the buyer says the chip is showing as a FX 25 on his system check cpu

any idea I have asked what board he is using maybe a bios update is needed?

what do you think

What speed is it running at? If its at 2.8ghz then all is ok.

Just the system/program miss-reading the BIOS.

Some 3000+ CPus have said FX-40s etc

Get him to download the latest CPU Z and check it, it wont be a fx25 thats forsure

It'll just be that he's running an old BIOS, if he's got good feedback then you'll be fine

It's a great CPU...but not for the amount you pay. Honestly if you can find a buyer I would sell it and try to make some money off it while it's still worth something...then buy a dual core 4400 or something
