Looking for recommendations for a Air cooler for a FX-8350. Using a Cooler Master 212 at the moment but I don't think its up to the job. Don't really want to spend a shed load on it as well. Just something to cool this 8350 beast

I used a CM 212 evo on my old 8350 for a long time.. was able to reach 4.5ghz with it stable. Once i upgraded to water i could push it to 4.9 stable for a 24/7 OC and 5.1 for benching(was not stable for 24/7 use). So my conclussion is something is wrong if your 212 is not enough or you are trying to OC it beyond its limits(the cooler).
