FX 8350 vs. 2600K (or what?)

hey guys,

after some deliberation on these forums, I am really considering a move to intel. What I would like to know is what is the best option for a cheaper build for gaming/browsing/spotify etc..?

Would a 2500k-2600k be suitable to be fast on the OS and games? Would I need to repurchase a copy of windows and erase an SSD im using ATM?

i am gaming at 1080p. the cpu is overclocked to a non boost of 4.3ghz.it is running well, its just ARMA that is causing the issue of low FPS.

good shout on next-gen. think i might hold out till then, as i cant really afford to upgrade cpu, ram and the mobo.

Personally for an older gen I5 I wouldn't bother, you'll see little difference @ 1080P and you will lose some productivity in certain apps. What is the refresh rate of your monitor?

its a AOC FREESYNC 144hz monitor.
