FX 8370 vs G4400

My current system is a Skylake based system but the CPU is rather low end. I'm thinking about getting an FX 8370 based system. I think an FX 8370 would be a huge performance boost over the G4400 currently in my system. Upgrading further down the Skylake line would be too expensive for me. On an Intel equivalent, what are the 8370 compared to?

Just get an i5 6400, would knock the socks off the 8370.

I don't think I want to carry on with Intel. This is one of the reasons I'm thinking about switching back to AMD.

I have thought about holding off for Zen and I think I just might do that now. With the new motherboards being released for the AM3+ socket, I thought there was some new life in the FX series stuff.

How bad of a CPU is it for games like WOW, World of warships, swtor and total war?

The G4400 was only supposed to be a stop gap. I've just bought an Asus Z97 Pro Gamer, i5 4690k and 8GB of 1600MHz RAM.
