Explicit said:Well, the FX series do have unlocked multipliers which is why they're so expensive. The default is set at 14 (i.e. 14 x 200Mhz = 2.8Ghz). If you push that up to 15, you will now have an overclocked processor running at 3.0Ghz. You will need to test for stability using Prime95/SuperPI/SnM etc. Overclocking is best done in small steps with stability testing after each stage.
If it's fails any of the above tests, it probably needs a bit more voltage. Increase it by one step only, and then test again.
You can also increase the HTT by small steps to overclock (this is how everyone with locked multipliers do their overclocking).
