Rest of the specs would be helpful![]()
Bennah said:I wouldnt really say that FX57 @ 3GHz would be much a bottleneck.
Faster rams / tighter timmings would help though with performance to get a little increase
The psu is a little over kill too![]()

They would be better than the generic stuff that you have got now.
They would run @ 2-3-3-6, possibility of overclocking further than the stuff that you have got now.
i'd have to strongly disagree. ram timings don't make one bit of difference when it comes to real gaming. seriously, how many frames per second difference will be gained by spending 211notes on that ram? it's all about the amount nowdays - his 2gb of pc3200 is just fine. if he wants to overclock, why not take advantage of the unlocked multi on his fx57....

just been reading in a local magazine that AMD are to release FX-74

Maybe but at least he wil be able to use max in game settings and max AA/AF.sja360 said:i could be wrong but isnt a 8800GTX/GTS a little overkill? as your monitors a 19" LCD and only puts out a max resolution of 1280x1024? is the 7800 not cutting it for newer games when putting all the detail on or ?
