Honestly? I'd LOVE to see AMD take the top spot in a gen or two's time. I'm as tired of being gouged and the stagnation as the next person.

I am being realistic: like Marine said, games supporting 8 (or more) cores isn't going to magically skyrocket PD or any currently available processor above others.

I've never once said AMD chips are worthless - you just seem to be getting that from your over-defensive vibe. There will always be games that run better with one setup over another; it's the way things go. You just pick which one favours the most games you like that you can afford.

I think your "berate me into submission" comment was a bit melodramatic - for someone recommending so much reading it would do well for you to practice what you preach. I stated I wanted performance at the right price for me. That prices changes from person to person. If all I cared for was price/performance ratio then definitely, I'd be running a 6300 or something similar.

If you're on about the above graph? Then you failed to read the graph, it shows many different CPUs beating the FX8350s, 8320s, 6300s not all cost £1000 (none infact!!)
