sent a few questions to MSI about the board temps but so far they have replied only to say. TMPin1 is not a real reading, and have I added system fans... I can see I'm going to get far here. Anyway, Heat gun matches the temps of tpin1 and is it also coincidence that its also the same reading that kills the cpu when it hits 100c every time without fail.

Where was you pointing the gun.

I forgot to say, but 92c is coming from the corner of the VRM under the heatsink.

The other temp is pointing at cpu.

I think I may have just solved it though. The corsair thumb screws screw up really easy and I think I was bending the board a little. I've just loosened the screws and the cpu is now 33c with prime95. and vrm is 78c :rolleyes:
