FX8350

Hi All, putting together a PC for a mate. To save some cash he has gone down the 990FX and FX8350 route. I am on Intel myself and have not looked at AMD CPUs for at least a decade.

Few things seen to be holding the overclock back:

RAM (Team Xtreme) will run above 2133MHz is this the max speed supported by the IMC?
Any sort of overclock, above the stock 4GHz, needs around 1.5V for 4.5GHz idle temps are crazy high, 40s under a Silverstone Tundra TD03.
He has an MSI 990FXA mobo.

Unlocked multi, FSB at 200MHz.

Any advice?

Which msi board, reset bios to defaults, put turbo to 4.5ghz and stress to get a idea of the volts it needs, no way for a 4.5 it should needs 1.5volts.
