Fxaa only works with selected games.
Adaptive vsync haven't tried yet but allegedly it gives u some smooth gameplay.

I wouldn't force FXAA on - in applications that don't specifically support it you can get variable results and it can also conflict with non-gaming applications that use hardware surfaces to render 2D when forced on globally. There may be some games that don't support traditional AA you want to force it on for individually tho.
Adaptive VSync is somewhat subjective to taste for most casual gamers it should work quite well but if your overly picky about input latency or tearing it might not be the option for you.
