G shock repair?

need a bit of help..

my favourite Casio G-shock watch is buggered. the display went blank so thought it was the battery and took it to a jewellers to get it replaced. they came back and said the battery was fine and the fault lies elsewhere.

can digital watches be repaired? as i dont want to bin this one as i use it a lot.

what one is it? ive got an old one here you could have the main unit of if its the same

it seems there is a reset button on the inside of the watch that needs to be flicked. any ideas?

I've seen quartz watches that need to be reset after a battery change. They have had 2 small "pads" on the PCB that you short out with the points of metal tweezers. On Citizen watches, the instructions on how to do this are actually printed inside the rear cover, in very small writing.

I've never looked inside a Casio, so it could be completely different.
