G.skill 1600 12gig problem

Hi all, do I have to lower the ram to 1333mhz or something, becuase soon as I drop 1 set of triple ddr out it runs perfect with 6gig, tried both triple channel sets both work flawless alone.

reading everywhere cant find my answer, I thought the motherboard could handle 24gig of memory at 2100+.

Gigabyte EX-EXTREME X58
12 gig of GSKILL PI SILVER RATED @ 1600MHZ

Any help would be much apreciated.

This seems to be quite a common problem. Sometimes it works without a hitch, sometimes it just doesn't like 12GB at 1600mhz. Try overclocking the RAM. If it won't overclock, you're going to have to underclock it.

Yea works well @ 1333, thanks for that, am i losing anything running at this speed ?
