G.Skill 2GB DDR HZ PC4000 (2x1GB) CAS3 Dual Channel Kit (F1-4000USU2-2GBHZ)

Just been memtesting [test#5] this pair, hoping for 270 or even 280 @ 1:1

Just to keep it short, I've got one module that won't do over 260 regardless of what volts or timings I put in. Fails test #5 on the first pass.

The other module keeps on going at 270. When I put the other module back to make 2GB, test #5 fails straight off.

So, is this a RMA jobby?

Isn't pc4000 250, so wanting to rma because it wont do 260 your argument is flawed, just accept you've got a bad pair.

You wouldnt rma your opty if it failed to overclock would you?

I see you have the DFI mobo. Have you tried one of the modded beta bios' available to see if that helps... also, have a read of this guide for an idea of all the fancy settings relating to RAM and 2Gb in the DFI board.

The test 2Gb settings are down the bottom, and the whole guide is for G.Skill RAM on DFI boards. ;) V.handy!!

EDIT: Lol helps to put the link in. D'oh!

Ran memtest overnight, 9 hours at 260Mhz and passed ok.
Currently running a 180 divider, 9 hours into a Prime95 session.

Thanks for the link firegod.
