Hi...i recently brought a Asus A8n-SLI mobo, and was wondering if the following memory would work well with a A64 3700+/X2 3800+ cpu:

G.Skill 2GB DDR ZX PC3200 (2x1GB) CAS2 Dual Channel Kit (F1-3200PHU2-2GBZX) (MY-007-GS)

Will this work? I cant find the compatibility list on the Asus site for some reason? :S Anyoneuse these? Help is appreciated :)

Thats an excellent choice, they'd be my first choice around that price :)

Yeah, ive been reading up a bit, i never like to buy something unless im 100% certain in all fairness :)

Was wondering about the board compatibility tho as ive heard a lot of boards nowadays are "picky"?? But hopefully someone has roughely the same setup.

Hey guys,no probs with this memory? i just got an an8 sli se and it isn`t on the vendor list in manual, and can`t find list on asus site

Id love to tell you chap but i havent ordered the memory yet, i cant due to money basically :P

The manual will be rather old by now, but ill try and have a gander on the site.

I emailed G skill and this is their response:

>From I heard from my customers, A8N SLI SE is much better than A8N SLI-P.
G.Skill 2GB DDR ZX, F1-3200PHU2-2GBZX is no problem to run and G.Skill
2GBHZ, F1-4000USU2-2GBHZ is still not sure, most of them works perfect on SE
motherboard but still few people can not use.
Thank you

Sorry to bump up..Would you choose the G.skill as mentioned bove over the following:

Mushkin 2GB DDR XP4000 Extreme Performance Dual Channel Kit (2x1GB)

Thanks :)

Oh and is anyone running this in the a8n sli board :P

I'd go the Gskill, its cheaper and has nice timings, the Muskin is PC4000 but its timings aren't great, and its not worth the extra.

Ah k, just wondering, as its in Bgrade...for a little less than the Gskill :P

But would Bgrade memory have faults? Cant exactly have stuff missing can it?

Won't have faults, will just have been returned as faulty but been tested to be ok.

If its cheaper I would probably give it a shot :)

Definetly? Dont want to make the wrong decision...and would it be better? As in, first turn it on, and running in default? As i dont overclock or nefing,...yet :P
