hi. bought a G.Skill Ripjaw 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit for here and in installed it and everything is runiing ine , but i looked at cpu-z and went to check on the speed of my ram, and it says its running at 667MHz instead of 1600MHz, am i missing something or am i just not reading it properly? Do i have to set it in the bios? If it helps my motherboard is ASUS M4A79XTD EVO.

Right - just had go myself. I'm using that same board with the latest bios and I went into the bios, in the advanced tab and everything should be set to auto. If you go down to the last but one option, can't remember exact name and hit enter you can change it form 1333 to 1600. save and exit and the memory runs at 1600, all done. No need to mess around with individual timings etc as it has the hgiher spec profile as an option

Thanks it worked! :) its stupid tho that the supported ram and supported speed for the motherboard does not automaticly apply it maximun speed...
