hello all

i,m sure this has been asked before but i have to ask agaian, i,m getting the conroe but i,m still in two minds of these two types.

G.Skill 2GB DDR2 NR PC2-6400 (2x1GB) CAS5 Dual Channel Kit (F2-6400PHU2-2GBNR) (MY-014-GS)

&

G.Skill 2GB DDR2 HZ PC2-6400 (2x1GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit (F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ) (MY-013-GS)

which one should i get to go withe asus p5b and e6600?

i,m not an overclocker and not plan to overclock anything, mostly be using the pc for dvd encoding, games and coding.

does the latency count in a great deal like amd?

Thanks

from my experiance, the 965 chipset dont like Gskill Nr, i had some and the board faled to post. (same as the ds3) so i went and got sum gskill HZ, that will post with the 965 chipset. (imho) i dont think the erly bios revs of the 965 boards like cheeper ram, especially the ds3

hi stelly

thanks a lot

stupid question on the asus p5b to get the memory to run on dual channel mode is it the two yellow dimms or yellow and back?

as in dimm a1 and a2 or a1 and ab

thanks

Asus and G-Skill

reviving this thread as I would welcome some feedback concerning........

G.Skill 2GB DDR2 HZ PC2-6400 (2x1GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit (F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ) (MY-013-GS)

and Asus "Conroe" boards, the PC2 DDR market seems swamped atm and chosing a suitable brand difficult.
If not this memory then what's the best alternative ?

Cheers Tony

*Edit* just seen the price of OCZ , think I'll go for that ! ;)
