"G.Skill has announced the development of its brand new RipjawsX series memory modules, designed specifically for Intel Sandy Bridge LGA1155 processors, and H67 and P67 motherboard platforms."

This may be a stupid question, but does this mean it's only compatible with these types of motherboard (H67 & P67), or it simply means this ram was designed with these motherboards in mind (and these are the motherboards they perform best with) & they're compatible with many different motherboards, including the Gigabyte Z68AP-D3?

You're welcome.

The Crucial Ballistix is perfect for Sandy Bridge (which I assume you're looking at given the motherboard you quoted).

There's no loss of performance compared to other 1600MHz RAM and it runs at a nice 1.5V out of the box.

So Ballistix vs Ripjaws X, Ballistix wins? I just want to be sure. And yes, I have a Sandy Bridge.

The Ballistix is £15 cheaper, offers the same performance, runs at the same voltage (see my sig.) and is low profile for better compatability with large CPU coolers.

I'd say it wins.

I think thats just all marketing, they should work (and know people with past Gskill 'intel only' ram) and anything thats DDR3 including AMD.

Ive got this ram and I love it, just for its looks really I dont think there is any difference between all the ram available aslong as they are the same speed and timings.
