Hi Guys,

I Don't make many posts, in the forums (just a back seat viewer)

But as I am in the market for a new keyboard, As My Qpad mk85 has had to many coke spills. I was looking at getting a Corsair K70, as I want Red cherry switches, and I like the RGB element.

But someone pointed me to this keyboard yesterday, and I wanted to know people's thoughts, (as I cant see a thread on any discussion) as it looks like the Corsair K70, but with extra features.

Still works, But after 2 intense alcohol cleans, I finally CBA with the keyboard shutting off half way through my gaming sessions and turning back on.

That's understandable I guess. You could try and RMA it but its not exactly a manufacturer fault.

In terms of the G Skill keyboard, I'm sure its their first mechanical keyboard. As history repeats itself firs mech keyboards tend to have annoying bugs and problems. I personally wouldn't jump in, I'd wait for reviews. Plus it looks tacky and as if they tried to compensate with a lot of gimmicks instead of actual build quality. Then again I haven't tried the keyboard myself or seen a reasonable review.

If you want something right now then the Corsair K70 is a fine choice. Personally I'm not a fan of Corsair when it comes to keyboards (yet they are still ok) but it seems like you want the "gamer" type of keyboard.

Not so much "Gamer" type as I try and stay away from anything with gaming in the title, but I know what you mean.
I do like the idea of a RGB keyboard though, and I was going to hit the buy button the other day on a K70, but I have read a lot of reviews on the software crashing and freezing.
As I want a reliable keyboard with stability but also with RGB and audio controls.
Maybe my expectations are to high.
Thanks for your feedback though, now looking at the Ripjaw it does look a little tacky.

Corsair and G-Skill are the definition of "gamer" products.

Nevertheless it is a little hard to find a keyboard with all those functions unless you want to settle for Corsair.

Ducky, great build quality but doesn't come with volume control or macros.
Das, great build professional looking but no volume control or macros.
CM Storm/Filco same thing but no RGB
Razer, cheap stuff and not actual red switches.

I have an MK85 that does that every now and again I found it stopped after a recent windows 7 update but can't tell you which one.

That could make sense, for a issue I used to have.
It used to flash off for 5 seconds
But I know this is not the same thing, as it goes and does not liven up until I keep taking the USB out, multiple times.
