Hi all can someone tell me which memory is better:

Kingston HyperX Genesis DDR3 1600MHz CL9 8GB DIMM Memory Module (Kit of 2) - Grey model no: KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX

G.Skill 8GB (2x 4GB) Dual Channel Ares Series Memory Kit (DDR3 1600, 9-9-9-24, 1.5v, Intel XMP Extreme Memory Profile Ready) model no:F3-1600C9D-8GAO

both are the same in terms of performance, you won't notice any difference.

Many people have used the kingston ram, myself included, and have had no issues. Just look how many reviews it has on ocuk

Not used gskill before but they come highly recommended especially on Asus motherboards.

Just go for the one you like the look of

GSKILL is coming back for sure. We sorted this at Computex. We are only stocking the very high end kits 2400mhz+ but its certainly coming!!!

Both makes are great.

I have always gone with Crucial or Corsair. Still have systems using them, but I went with Kingston mostly for the last few years, however, I have gone with GSKill.

In terms of performance, there is absolutely no way that there is any difference between any RAM really. sure, if you start to clock and then tweak the nips out of every single little thing, then you might... just might squeeze a few % out of say the GSkill over the Kingston, but in truth, even then, its not really worth the effort some of the time.

I have gone for GSkill RipJaws purely on the fact that they look the dogs, and its got nothing to do with the performance at all.

So, I think its really down to which one makes you feel squiffy inside is the one to go for.
