Hello good people of OCUK, when do we think the 2nd version of Gsync and freesync will be released with HDR?

I have a crappy old TN LG cheapo monitor from like 10 years ago and was about to buy the Acer 34A 34" super wide when I read that HDR Gsync monitors are around the corner so didn't want to waste £850 now if it will be redundant in less than 12 months time.
 
Looks like the G-Sync ones are using AUO again :s their panels that push the boundaries of what is possible seem to take awhile to be really worth buying :| I believe the G-Sync HDR panels are coming end of Q3 this year no idea on FreeSync.
 
GSync HDR will be available with the 4k 120hz panels. They are not going to be cheap though.
Freesync 2, nothing announced yet, not quite sure.
 
Freesync 2 seems to be a mystery at present... no word on product or pricing, the tech has simply been announced. I'd hope the upcoming VEGA release sees more info, but absence of actual monitors will likely make that news somewhat redundant given how long it usually takes for monitors to come to market after they are announced. The £2K 4K HDR Asus looks impressive (although 27" is too small for me personally) but is insanely priced. It is inevitable we will see that tech appearing in more affordable options further down the line though. First adopters, as always, pay the moon. Freesync 2 will almost certainly be cheaper, but if they feature HDR then they will still be costly.
