Hi all,

I currently have a Dell U2713 monitor mounted to my sim racing rig, and I need to get a new monitor for my desk. The PC sits between the sim rig and the desk, so I was planning to purchase a monitor such as the Viewsonic XG2703-GS for the desk and use them in duplicate/mirror mode.

Has anyone ever tried this before? Will the G-Sync monitor still work as it should with both monitors connected via DisplayPort?

Should work perfectly for you.

I use to have the PG278Q connected via Displayport, and an old acer 1920x1200 monitor via HDMI. Never had issues with G-Sync when gaming.

I don't see why it shouldn't work well if both are on separate display port as well.

Awesome, thanks very much :) It's been quite difficult to find any info about it online.

I've a Dell non-G-Sync ISP hooked up along side the G-Sync S2716DG and generally works fine - had some minor issues while trying to do more advanced stuff but I think that is partly in relation to limitations with WDDM in Windows 7 and probably won't be an issue if you are on 10.

Cool, thanks. That's an even better confirmation :) I do use Windows 10 so it should be alright.

Man I wish I could see that S2716DG in the flesh before I pull the trigger since I can get it for £150 less than the Viewsonic.

For gaming I wouldn't swap it for anything else but I'm also glad I have a decent Dell IPS sitting alongside it.

I think that pretty much sums up why I'm looking at £600 IPS displays :( After using a Dell U2713HM for so long (I mistakenly said U2711 in the OP) I just don't think I'll be 100% happy with the S2716DG or the S2417DG for day-to-day use.
