He's talking about a 75hz samsung monitor and you are buying a completely different LG monitor. They are not the same. I wonder what it is that makes you think that this video is relevant to your purchase?I got it from this video. Around the 43 second mark.
No worries. Some of the earliest Freesync monitors that were advertised as 75hz didn't work in most cases above 60hz when using an Nvidia GPU without frame skipping or simply no picture. Some could be manually OCed to 75hz but results were usually not great. This really isn't much of a thing anymore with newer releases of monitors and if it says 165hz on box you should get that no matter what brand of GPU you are running. Most early Freesync monitors were also pretty trash thankfully that is mostly over.Thanks, it was just that you may not get the advertised refresh rate if you don't have g-synch. I'm a noob I know.
