Surely that is a good price?, i paid over £450 quite some years ago for the Asus VG236 23" 120Hz 3D Monitor with 3D Vision kit 1.

I bet there is absolutely nothing that they've added that comes close to the price it bumps monitors up by.

Their response to AMD's freesync is quite amusing too, typical nVidia.

Its about £15 worth of extra electronics (probably cheaper to them as they'd buy in huge bulk).

I think personally if I was spending that much extra I'd just go for the EIZO Foris FG2421 instead (pending actually trying it to make sure its what I want).

Does gsync only work with nvidia cards or do they also sync down lower to suit any input frequency (ie 50hz pal amiga).

gsync is for nvidia cards in the 600 series or above.

Frankly, this monitor is so UN-apealing at £441.41 Inc VAT for a TN panel ...

no display port is 144hz capable at least, or so AOC have advised me

the price you are seeing now is for the non-gysnc monitor, plus gsync module, plus retailers fee for fitting, plus "only gsync monitor available" gouge - expect actual retail units to be much much cheaper

gsync monitors have only a single display port connector, so whilst it will work at a fixed refresh (such as 144hz or 120, or 60, or whatever) it will only work via display port
