G-SYNC not sure it's working (or it's just me)

Good Evening all,

I have a Acer Predator 165hz IPS G-SYNC monitor

When i play games at 100 plus frames the games feel like butter, but as soon as it hit's 90-80 fps it starts to feel sluggish kind of like a slow down!!

Is this just me or do other people have this issue?

Hi there,

I have the Dell S2716DG and have to say the G-SYNC is excellent. Wouldn't want to be without it now.

Use the indicator in the gpu settings is it showing it is on?

GSync will not work miracles all the time some games still need over 120 plus frames i found others still felt bad i disliked Dota and The Blizz one but then others work great. Overwatch is the best example 120 is ok on 240hz but ideally 180 feels immense.

So yea it does that at 90fps get your computer up to 120.

Agree completely, 90fps is still 90fps lol.

I had a go of a 240hz panel and loved it, then went back to my 144hz and it felt sluggish ;0.

Its not workable to go back im waiting on The NXG251 but i will not use it below half fps as a rule or it gets nasty. As you say 90fps is still 90fps.

Yeah i never have v-sync turned on

I guess the feeling you would call it is choppy, but 100fps is just so smooth.

I never put v-sync on either, always ends up in a lagfest for me :confused:

It's 1080p G-SYNC as far as I can tell, with 0.5ms response time.

Monitors are always a compromise these days ;0
