G-Sync panel for Doom?

I really got into Doom.
I have Eizo Foris fs2434.
It is a relatively fast panel for IPS, but not G-sync and only 60Hz.
Unfortunately, for fast-paced Doom, it is no longer good enough for me.
I was very close to pulling the plug on a 43" Phillips, but it will be even worse for gaming.
Shall I splash out for the PG279Q ?
I think it is the only one that fits my needs, as I need g-sync, fast refresh rates and at least one more input for the other computer?

One of my best game experiences of recent times was playing Doom on my X34 this weekend. Even on Ultra settings it didn't drop below 70fps so I may try it with G-Sync disabled just as an experiment later. I use the HDMi input for a secondary PC.

Though I probably would have been just as happy playing on the 40" UHD monitor I had last year. So long as the minimum fps was above 60 it was fast enough for me. I did I tend to run games in a custom 21:9 3440x1440 borderless window though hence the X34 purchase.

I thought Doom was locked at 60FPS? I see a steady 60FPS on my X34 with Doom, never goes above that.

Also check your desktop refresh as it sometimes gets set back to 60Hz I've noticed. Best settings are G-SYNC on with VSYNC enabled in the nVidia control panel and diasble VSYNC in game.

The few cut scenes are locked to 60fps.

question then, how do you normally set up games so that g-sync works?
V-Sync on in game and g-sync on in NCP?
If that is the case it would be running at max 60fps or max = current refresh rate??
I';d like to run refresh rate at 120Hz and the game itself at >90fps - anything below and I can notice...
Has anyone tried running doom with ULMB instead?
