I will be shortly be purchasing my first G-sync monitor and I have been doing a bit of research on how it works. It is advised that you use G-Sync & V-Sync together (vsync set to on in NCP). If the framerate goes over the G-sync range, 144hz/fps then Vsync takes over to eliminate tears.
Now at this point where the frames go over 144fps, is there any stutter or pause when regular vsync takes over, or is it a smooth transition? The same question applies to when the frames drop back into the G-sync range under 144hz/fps, is it noticable?
