So got myself the acer XB271HU

am i supposed to set each game to the highest framerate possible i'm setting most games to 144hz, some only have options for 90 hz and some 60hz metal gear solid only allows 60FPS. Settings are just confusing me do i still need to select vsync on and in the nvidia control panel there is setting for fullscreen only and borderless full screen windowed. I've had a look for some sort of guide to it but didn't find much to really help out.

With recent drivers if a game is capped to a certain framerate you may find you get lower latency with V-Sync off while G-Sync is enabled - not sure if its intentional or a bug but G-Sync On + V-Sync On doesn't seem to be working quite right with 368 drivers.

Thanks for the tip :)

reading nvidias website it says that gsync does not play well with some games and if thats the case they disable it on a driver level. but they havent produced a list of these games, so how are we supposed to know which ones work and which don't. it's all a bit confusing lol
Q: Does NVIDIA G-SYNC work for all games?
A: NVIDIA G-SYNC works with all games. However, we have found some games that do not behave well and for those, we recommend that users take advantage of our control panel’s ability to disable G-SYNC per game. Games that NVIDIA discovers that have trouble with G-SYNC will be disabled by default in our driver.

Is there not some on screen thing to show it's working that we can turn on and off like afterburners OSD i just turn it on and off in game by hitting home.

There is an indicator you can turn on for G-Sync and also on most monitors the OSD or LED will have some kind of indication of whether G-Sync is engaged or not - on my ROG Swift the power LED turned to a deep red if G-Sync was working.

I've got the acer XB271HU and cant see anything at all to see if it's working. Is there nothing on a driver level, i remember seeing some gsync video a while back and when they were playing games it said gsync in the corner like a little OSD.

:confused:well i found that tab to show the g sync symbol in game, can see it working in games, really suprised it's not working in fallout 4 tho?
