Just wanted to confirm that if running a g-sync monitor then Nvidia control panel settings source as follows

G-sync on (obviously)
V-sync off

Then in games settings
Vsync off

Nothing else needs to be changed?

I've also noticed my gpu runs hotter with g-sync enabled, guessing it's something to do with with my new monitor bieng 144hz rather than 60hz so card can now push more fps to it?

Nothing to do with "pushing more frames to it" its lilley your getting exactly the same frame rate just your monitor can obviously refresh 84 more times per second.

The heat is i believe a bug forcinng the card to run at higher idle clocks when using a 144hz monitor

That's what I sort of meant I know I'm not getting more fps from the card as such but the monitor can refresh as you say 84 times a second more.

Didn't know about the 144hz bug, I'll Google it. Do you you if there is a fix for it?

I believe a custom setting to make windows 120hz but seitch to the full 144hz in game is the only way but i dont have experience of how to do it sorry

Thanks, just googled it.
The extra heat from the gpu isn't a problem as I'm on water but was just curious as to the cause.
