G-Sync Settings - Confused!

Hey guys,

Got the AOC Gsync in sig. Been playing around with it and it seems really good so far.

One thing is troubling me however, some games (diablo3, starcraft2, heroes of the storm) seem to run just as crap as ever if I disable vsync. If i enable Vsync in game it seems to help, but isn't this nullifying my Gsync?

I've currently got the NVdriver to let the 3d application decide.

I've read how enabling Vsync via the driver lets gsync run up until 144fps then vsync kicks in to lock the frames and stop tearing. This is no good for me in csgo for example where I need as little input lag as possible (although im pretty much 200fps+ in csgo all the time anyway)

So essentially I want to know what effect enabling vsync ingame actually has. It definantly caps my FPS at 144 in the games i've tried, but I can't work out if it's utilizing the gsync functionality or not. Also what settings should I have on the nvidia driver? Let 3d application decide or using my own settings and in that case do I want vsyn on or off in that section (and triple buffering for that matter).

Any help greatly appreciated. Was really disheartened to see SC2 and Heroes still jerky as hell when controlling the camera!

don't enable vsync in game as it can cause compatibility problems

In NVCP you turn Gsync on in the Gsync tab, then you go to the Manage 3D settings tab and there is a vsync option - setting vsync on in here limits the frame rate to the monitors maximum and uses Gsync when below that, setting Vsync off in here means that gsync will be on when up to the monitors refresh, but off when it goes above (so you still get 200fps in CSGO)

the best way to run gsync is with gsync on, vsync off and with a frame limiter set to the monitors refresh or just below

I'm also pretty sure you want triple buffering off
