Just trying to work out if I have a faulty monitor. I've been getting varying results with gsync, and recently noticed micro freezes with it enabled in some games (amongst other little problems).

Currently I have it set via NVCP:

Global Settings V-Sync on
G-Sync Enabled

For some games, such as CSGO I've set a custom profile to disable v-sync (which works). The problem is, particularly in CSGO I'm getting micro freezes of 1-2 seconds randomly but consistently.

What I've noticed recently, that I hadn't noticed before, is starting any game using Gsync my monitor flickers between graphical glitch screens that resemble a faulty gnu artifacts. These screens can flicker for anywhere from 1-3 seconds. In particular I notice it when starting CS:GO or StarCraft 2. It's similar to running games at a non native refresh rate, albeit in this instance there are colors and distortion over the screen. I can resolve this instantly by disabling G-Sync.

So I wanted to work out if this graphical gltching is unique to my monitor (AOC G2460PG) or if it is something noticeable by all users of GSync.

So if someone can copy these settings and test with CSGO I would appreciate it!

Nvidia Control Panel use 3d settings. Global Settings set to VSync On
Create a profile for CSGO. Set VSYNC to OFF.
G-Sync Enabled
Disable V-Sync ingame CSGO.

Fire up the game and pay attention to any weird flashing/graphics on startup. They also appear when alt tabbing. Also noticed in StarCraft 2 the same thing.

Thanks for replies.

Actually gsync works with vsync on from the nvcp (disabled ingame) ON = 144fps cap / OFF = gsync on until 144fps, then it runs like a standard no vsync screen.

I'm mainly trying to work out if my module is behaving normally when enabling on game start ups/alt tabs.

It used to just go black and flicker. However I now notice it fills all these distorted graphics which looks similar to a damaged GPU. Likewise these micro freezes were not something I noticed until the last week, and they seem to get more regular. At this stage I've tried everything to troubleshoot, the only fix seems to be disable gsync which makes me concerned!

If anyone can confirm how their screen behaves in the above scenario it would help me work out if mine is behaving abnormally, and might go some way to explaining the other issues I've noticed.

So far the only games I can say I've seen a big improvement on fluidity are GTA V and WoW. Haven't tried them again since I noticed the problems however as they are now u installed as a result of formatting to try and fix the freezes.
