Anyone in the South East, Surrey, London etc area have a G-Tech or similar I could borrow for a day or two? Obviously I'll pick up and drop back and payment in return for the usage?

Thanks

You can get applications for mobile phones now which do the same thing.

I installed and tried aDyno on Saturday - it worked really well but I've no idea how accurate it is.

I know, I've not got an Iphone or anything though, just some SE. Other half has just got a brand new Blackberry last week so might see if there is an app for that. I've heard the Iphone one isn't brilliant either but I'll keep it in mind if I can't get hold of the real thing.

I've got both Dynolicious and another one (pocket Dyno) on my iPhone.

Haven't really played around with them too much as a full bore launch is a recipe for a new clutch.

Might have a go tonight or later in the week.

I use racechrono on my N95 (Symbian S60). It's great as it can also take a feed from a bluetooth OBD reader so you can log 0-60 with traces for readings such as air intake temperature or tachometer.

Necro-posting ahoy.

Fox, did you get any further with aDyno?

Reason to ask is I downloaded today and am looking to set it up for a few experiments.

Did you input all the relevant information or just use it as it came installed?

I set it all up, entered the relevent info and used it. It gave me 0-60 in 6.4 seconds and 0-100 in about 15.

No idea whether its accurate or not, though. It seemed to work ok, though!

Great stuff, thanks.

Will run off to find the relevant info I need to get it set up properly.

100! I saw that!

On a road to which the public do not have access, obviously. And enclosed by a gate, which was closed, therefore not covered by the Road Traffic Act :)

Bloody hell
Not slow 530i's are they
Thought it was more in the 7.7 area

I suppose it is like 220hp or whatever though so shouldnt come as much of a surpise

230 (well, 231 :p), this is why it is funny when people call things like 330 coupe's "boring" and then compare them with all sorts of tat.

Fox times seem a bit off to me, 0-60 should be closer to 7 seconds and 1/4 mile would be about 15.5 not even reaching 100.

I have a G-tech and have ran the same times at Santa Pod as with the gtech on a private runway of course.

My Saab makes the BMW seem very gutless and my 330 was 100Kgs lighter than the E39.

IIRC Dynolicious asks for the frontal area of the vehicle?

I did install it, but didn't bother with it in the end because I had no way of finding this out. I take it the 0-60/0-100 etc still works though? Just no calculation of BHP etc?

Whhhaaaatttt seriously
They must be dogs though?
I could nearly afford that lol
( but not insurance... Tires,.. Services etc)
