G.U.I.exe ?

I have a process going on on my PC called G.U.I.exe This process starts up straight away with around 4000K and keeps gobbling up my ram untill Windows says I have no ram available.
I have ended the process using task manager and tried all the programs on the PC, all seem to work perfectly without this process running.
AVG hasnt picked up any viruses.
Non of my other XP PCs have this G.U.I.exe process running, and I have no idea why this one has. As ending the process dosent affect the running of my programs would it be possible to disable this process in the registry if I can manage to find it.

Do you have a Gigabyte motherboard?

I would get rid of it. Autoruns is good for finding startup items - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

Yes I do have a Gigabyte mobo, with both Easy Tune 6 and Dynamic Energy Saver running. Though both of these arent affected when I end the G.U.I.exe process.
Ill try Autoruns and see what it digs up.

Problem solved it was Easytune 6. Dont know why it is behaving in such a way, would have thought Gigabyte would have done a better job than that.
Anyway un-installed it and all is well.
