G1 Sniper M5 Question

Watched Linus Tech tips build using this board and he did sli rig but used the pcie x4 and x16 slots. Is it ok to do that as I know the x4 slot is Pcie2?

As far as I can tell, he's using the top and bottom PCI-E slot, which run at x16 and x8 respectively. The middle one runs at x4.

Ahh so i got it wrong thanks for clearing that up thought it was other way round
