Greetings,

About a week ago I recieved my new Logitech G11 keyboard. However, I am having two issues with it.
When I plug my iPod into the USB ports on back of the keyboard, it is detected in Windows (Vista), and the iPod starts charging. But when I try to edit the content of the device in either iTunes or Floola, the iPod is not detected. my brother says he had the same problem with a standard USB hub and was unable to fix it.

Also, I can not get the media keys to work in Winamp, but they work in Windows Media Player. However, the volume controller and mute button works fine. I have installed the drivers that came with the keyboard.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance

It could be to do with the ipod needing to draw power from the usb connector, however the ones on the g series keyboard do are not powered usb ports. This would explain your brothers problem also as his hub may not have its own power supply (and therefore may not be able to draw enough power for usb powered devices).

As for the media keys, you need to enable an option in winamp (global hotkeys/universal hotkeys) or something like that, this will allow you to use the media keys with it. Definitely can be done though, I use a g15 and it works with winamp fine :)

Depends on winamp version I think, on one install it was enabled by default but on another I had to turn this option on before it worked. Hope that helps

Thanks for this, I'll have a look in the winamp options when I get home and let you know if it works :)

Also, is there no way to fix the ipod issue that you can see?

I doubt there will be a fix to your iPod issue as i would put it down to the iPod not being able to draw the power needed to edit files on it. Your only soloution would be to plug it into a USB port that is dirctly connected to the motherboard. I get the same problem when using anything that needs a reasnable amount of power from the usb to work. There is that option somewhere in winamp as i used to use it fine with my G15.

Yea it works fine with my standard USB ports on the motherboard.

Oh well, would have been nice to use keyboard's USB since I keep losing my iPods cable down back of my desk :(

the usb ports on the g11 and g15 are useless, they only work at USB 1.1 and have no power, ive tried plugging many things into them, and they never work properly, they would have been better off putting speakers on the keyboard
