G15 and i7

Hey All

I am hoping someone out there can help me with this.

Just set up my new i7 system and it is running great (build log coming monday). Just one thing I know works but cant for the life of me figure out.

On my G15 (rev2) screen Performance Monitor it shows the CPU as only 1 core. On my mates (rev1) screen it shows his quad core as 4 seperate cores. Is this a rev2 issue, i7 issue or a faulty install?

If this is not possible then can anyone reccommend a CPU/RAM monitor for the G15 LCD that can cope with i7.

If you have Everest that can display on a G15, I am sure the latest version will support i7

The driver probably hasn't been updated yet for it.

i use everst and it shows everything on my G15 no probs.

but i suspect you are talking about the generic monitor thats came with the g15 that shows your RAM & CPU performance?

when i use my g15 with my laptop that has duo core it shows you 2 core very rarely.. my G15 generic monitor only shows one core, but as i say i dont use it... cant beat everest with g15.

I dont think the cpu bar has enough pixels to display 8 cores (ht) lol. If you turn it off, it will appear as 4 seperate bars.

Is everest free these days?

try installing CoreTemp this shows activity and temps on ur LCD.
