Hi guys ive currently got the logitech G15 (the orange one rev. 2 i think?) im thinking of selling it and getting the Razer Lycosa..

is this worth it? anyone made this move or similar?

the major think is the backlight Blue would get a lot nicer with the rest of my setup :P

thanks

Iv'e just bought another Lycosa to replace my last one that I killed with a small coffee spillage :(
I loved my last Lycosa so didn't even think about getting a different one. (it lasted me 2 years) That said there are many people I know who have had problems with their Lycosa's. Mainly involving the touch screen going all screwy. I didn't suffer any problems myself and am hoping I will be as lucky with my replacement. It's also worth noting that Razers customer service isn't all that good compared to say Logitech. You would love the Lycosa from the moment you open the box appearance wise it has the 'WOW' factor and wins hands down and the blue backlight is a perfect brightness for me. The Lycosa keys have a very different feel compared to the Logitech and one I much prefer. It's comfortable and the keys have a soft feel to them. The keys do mark up very easily due to their soft covered texture used (which is odd and I don't know what is used to achieve the texture but it's the same as the deathadder) but the keys don't wear off. Many people point out that the Lycosa is a fingerprint magnet because of the black mirror finish used on it but i find that it is easier to clean than most keyboards. The G15 has many fans but I have only used a friends and isnt a keyboard I would buy myself. If i was going for a Logitech keyboard I would personally go for this 1... http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-145-LG
Although I'm not a big gamer and it isn't really aimed at the gamer but it's the only other keyboard I would consider if I wanted an alternative to my Lycosa for a similar price. If you really need the macro keys and blue backlighting maybe go for http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-180-LG&groupid=702&catid=23&subcat= if you don't mind the larger keyboard. I like the compactness of the Lycosa and the Logitech illuminated. If you get a Lycosa just make sure you don't spill so much as a couple of drops of liquid on it as it really doesn't like it. A beautiful but fragile beast.

Edit: If you have any particular questions on the lycosa i'll be glad to answer them.
