Just received G25 from a competitor, I was told brand new yet the sealing tape on the G25 box was pre-cut. Also the stick feels stiff, seems to click with a then in sequential mode, my other one didn't. Also if I push down, then pull the stick back it stays pointing towards me.

Other G25 owners have a similar fault?

So it was classed as faulty? Changing up and down doesn't feel smooth, it's like something is blocking it then have to push up/down again.

well i dont know if they revised the shifter on that wheel but it never was stiff with mine. but the problem i quoted earlier isnt a problem as far as im concerned.

But if it doesnt feel right, its probably faulty. sorry its really hard to imagine your problem.

and what kind of 'click' is it that you experience in sequencial mode.. my one clicked but didnt feel much of a physical click.

Thing is it cost £12 to return it, no way I'm going to pay another £12 to return another faulty one. I don't mind paying out once. If they refuse I'll contact visa.

Tell them the seal was broken etc and it is clearly a previously returned product and tell them you want a replacement if they refuse return it under the distance selling regulations and never use the company ever again I know I wouldn't if they are prepared to sell second hand products as new.
Then claim back the postage costs quoting the sale of goods act etc.

The original purchase was 4 months ago, the replacement arrived today. Not sure if I can be flogged off a used one for a warranty item. I certainly asked for a new one, as I hardly used the G25. This is email from tech guy

Further to your e-mail I can confirm that due to the length of time you have had the items I cannot guarantee that a brand new item would be sent out. However, having checked through our stocks I cannot see any repaired/refurbished units available so I would advise that a new unit should be sent out to you.

So he said a new one will be sent out, but the seal was broken. Haven't got a reply yet but will phone tomorrow. tbh since they said the above, and lied about it, I really don't want to get a another "replacement" from either probably used/returned or repaired unit.

contact logitech they will rma it just say the e-tailer said that after 28 days they dont rma for logitech you have to go direct
thas what i did when my 1 key started sticking on my g15

As far as i am aware it is the law that the manufacturer or etailer should cover / refund postage costs on rma's when they have breached a law such as selling you something second hand as new

logitech probably wont even want it they will want you to do somthign silly like smash it up and take a pic

Will contact Logitech directly, the retailer could just send another repair/replaced item. Even the one I sent back initially :-/

hmm visa were no help basically have to hope logitech/retailer sorts it out. So what's the point of putting it on CC? They just said contact TS.

Ok got a reply, finally accepted to replace it. They've replied with

Please cut off the USB plug of your defective wheel and put the AC adapter in an envelope and send it to the following address: etc Germany

eh?

Fair enough. I presume it's because they don't want me to have two working G25's? Totally stupid to ruin a G25, even if I do that and chuck it in the skip a ***** will take it and put it on ebay. The only solution therefore is to take sledgehammer to each part. What a waste and filling up landfill :-/

Won't sell it but keep the faulty one for spares. Sounds reasonble enough.
