Hi guys,

Bought a G25 recently and I'm unsure what games give the best experience on it. I've been playing TDU on it and it feels pretty realistic. I tried GRID on it but it didn't feel right, I don't know if I set it up correctly though.

What games do you enjoy the most with a G25?

Cheers

rFactor, GTR 2, Race 07, GTR Evolution, iRacing.

rFactor has a good demo. It's basically the full game that you can play a few tracks on and a few vehicles, you then pay to unlock the game. Not that unlocking get you much more content, you have to download and add content yourself. Go to rfactorcentral for that. 99% of the content for rFactor is free.

GTR Evolution is an expansion of Race 07 and you need Race 07 to play GTR Evo, both have a demo on Steam.

Another vote for GTR2 here, but all the ISI/gMotor based simulations work well as listed above, rFactor/GTL/GTR2/Race series

found gtr evolution a bit arcadey for me, but if your not wanting something to hardcore its pretty easy to pick up.

live for speed, online racing, has a good demo, i played the demo for about 6 months before i forked out my £24. pretty realistic, works really well with the g25 - names jack on their if you give it ago, probably the driving game i play the most.

iracing, exceptional, but a lot of messing about before you race, expensive.

Until I got my G25 recently I would have agreed with you. But the default force feedback settings are -- IMO anyway -- exceptionally good with the G25, and turning it into a *much* more satisfying driving experience (I tend to drive the Minis or the various touring cars).

Strangely enough I had the opposite experience with iRacing. The FFB there became much less satisfying than on my old Red Momo. Still, I don't mind... it's one less reason to save some money and take another break from that amazing, but far too serious (for me) end of the sim spectrum.

On the iRacing note, there is now a 1-month free trial/demo available, two options (given by discount codes PR-*):

PR-GPL = One months subscription (includes the base rookie cars and several tracks) + Skip Barber RT2000 (A great little single seater) and Virginia International Raceway (An awesome track, especially South Course although no series run it currently :'()

PR-NR2003 = One months subscription + 'Late Model' (Oval car, more fun than you'd think :)) + Martinsville

If you do try it, remember to go to your account options and uncheck renew automatically, unless you like it enough to continue of course :)
