G27 calibration issues

Hi guys,

When I plug my G27 in, the calibration begins but then stops at the same point every time. The light on the shifter also stops flashing and just turns off at this point, so seems to completely stop working. Opening the menu for the wheel in Devices and Printers seems to help and it fully calibrates, yet when I exit the menu it just switches off.

In a laptop it calibrates just fine, the laptop running Win7 and desktop running Win10. I am led to believe it is a driver issue, though it could be random power issues also.

Anyone have any ideas?

Win10 is set to NOT automatically install drivers for stuff.

:/

I just did a fresh install, it was a reinstall of Win10, previous install worked just fine, after the reinstall it isn't working anymore :/

I have no rear USB 2.0 ports, only the front of the case ones

I will try reinstalling with it plugged in again, however in lgs the wheel won't show up as it dies half way through calibration

Same thing happened to mine.
Turns out there is a sensor shaped like large disc inside which had a hairline crack in it.
Strangely the first generation of G27 had these discs made of metal but the more recent batches were made of plastic.
Luckily mine was under 2 years old so after contacting Logitech they replaced the entire unit straight away.

99% sure this isn't the case as it calibrates correctly on my laptop, so must be driver related
