A bit of a pointless thread but I gotta tell someone.

I've used g2play for 2 years and never had a problem until the other day when my key for far cry 4 got banned due to a hooky key.

After reading other forums and people saying ''that will teach you for not going through steam or an official site your an idiot''

I emailed them yesterday afternoon and an hour ago they sent me a refund and watch dogs for free, I cant believe how good the service was.

I fell better now

I think this is because of Steam trying to cut down on this type of thing. They recently introduced region locked cd-keys.

out of 6 of my mates that bought of g2play im the only one who had this problem so I assume my key was acquired by and illegal source and sold to g2play. im gonna get another one with the refund and see what happens.

Never heard of them but after visiting their site I discover it is in fact Kinguin whom I use a lot and have never had any issues with.
Anyone know why the site is using both names? it seems a bit strange especially when all links on the main g2play page just send you to Kinguin anyway.

Thats a pretty decent outcome for you!
I once has an issue with a key site and they simply werent interested in refunding me for an already used steam key. I had to pretend to be a blogger and would work hard sharing my bad experience with them online.

I got the refund :D

It was probably a stolen key tbh. Those they do ban, the others they said they don't care about but the new ones will be region locked so you can't activate them.

Was the key banned on Uplay or Steam or both?

Using both Kinguin and G2Play I now see that they no longer offer the chance to buy as a Steam gift, and thus get even cheaper prices. This used to save a lot of cash but I assume it is due to the recent changes Steam made to prevent this type of gifting.

Yup, exactly that.
Steam Gifts will be a thing of the past now. (For cheap keys etc.)

meh, not impressed with that one bit.!

Then again I wondered for a while when they would clamp down on that. Annoying though when you see such huge regional differences in cost.
