G4 Harddisk to G5

Hi,

just wondering is it worthwhil reinstalling Mac OS X when i move a hard drive from a G4 to a G5?

Anyone any thoughts?

Yes, I think you'll have to because the G5 is 64-bit while the G4 was only 32-bit.

What shiny G5 model did you get?

bougth one out of the fore sale fourum on here G5 1.8 256mem 80gb drive, have upgraded memory to 768mb and 160GB harddrive, previously had a dual core 1.25Ghz G4, with a SATA raid card in it.
